Budget Boost:
I installed Teraflex's Coil Spring Spacers
{No. BB1TZ}, priced at $119.95.

Their image (used to be) at: "http://www.teraflx.com/img30.gif".

The spacers work well with the set of JKS Sway bar Quick-Disconnects that I already have installed.

INCOMPLETE SECTION:

Tires:
As of this writing (July 5, '98), I have almost 23 thousand miles on my TJ.
At about 22K miles, I was told that I have another 20 thousand miles left of the tread on my factory Goodyear Wrangler RT/S P215/75R15 tires. (And at 23K mi., I was told 22K mi. are left!) Once these tires are worn, I will have to spend money on replacing them anyway. I may as well make plans now regarding what I will replace them with.

On my original stock rims, I intend to mount a set of 30" or 31" tires that will perform well in Minnesota's winters, including ICE (as well as snow). I'd also like them to have some ability on the trails as well as being good-mannered on the road.

NOTE: There is 1.0" to 1.25" of additional (radius) space for larger tires to still fit on the stock spare tire mount. I may or may not actually purchase a fifth (Phase I) tire, but what ever choice I do make should be able to fit onto the factory spare tire mount. This means that the new tires may be UP TO 2 & 1/2 inches taller than Goodyear Wrangler RT/S P215/75R15, but no more.
(See Phase II for an expected new tire carrier/bumper.)

The BF Goodrich Radial AT TA was my choice in new tires. (With the Trail TA coming in at second place.)
Size is 31x10.50R15, and is mounted on my original 15x7" steel rims.

Tires:
Q: What size tire can I fit on my Jeep without rubbing?
A: As a rule we recommend the following: TJ 4.5"= 33x12.5, TJ 3"=33x10.50

Brian Hassing reccomended I look into the Goodyear 31x10.50R15 Wrangler AT/S tires, now in production.

New note:

As of 02/21/99, noticed at "http://www.tomken.com/TJLifts.html", that Tomken now makes a 2" TJ Coil Lift Kit (TMT-4000-T) for $ 300.00.
This might have been an alternative to my Budget Boost if I had known about it when I upgraded my tires.
