Windows NT 4.0 Setup

This document describes the installation and setup of the TCP/IP stack in Windows NT 4.0 to connect with Infintiy AccessNet. Follow the instructions below to run the Dial-Up Networking Wizard and configure your connection.

1. Double-click on the My Computer icon and double-click on Dial-Up Networking.

When prompted for a new phonebook entry, click Ok. If the Wizard does not start, click the New button.

2. New Phonebook Entry Wizard: Name the new entry Infinity and click Next.

3. Server: Check both I am calling the Internet and The non-Windows NT server I am calling expects me to type login information after connecting, or to know TCP/IP addresses before dialing. Then click Next.

4. Phone Number: Enter your local access number. The access number for Infinity AccessNet is 952-253-5324

Once you have entered your phone number click Next.

5. Serial Line Protocol: Check Point-to-Point Protocol [PPP] and click Next.

6. Login Script: Choose Automate With This Script.

Choose Generic Login.

Click Next

7. IP Address: Leave the IP address entry as 0.0.0.0 or server assigned IP address and click Next.

8. Name Server Addresses

For the DNS server entry type 209.134.128.1

Leave the WINS server entry as 0.0.0.0

Click Next.

9. New Phonebook Entry Wizard: Click Finish to save your settings.

10. Dial-Up Networking: Check that the entries you made are correct and click Dial.

11. Connect to Infinity: Enter an upper case "P" followed by the Username we gave you in all lower case under User name:

Enter the Password we gave you in all lower case under Password:

Click OK

12. Put the Infinity Dialup Networking Icon on your desktop by double clicking on the Dial-Up Networking Icon and choosing your Infinity AccessNet configuration.

Now click the More button and choose Creat Short Cut to Entry. [You can also edit your connection information at any time by clicking the More button and the Edit Entry option.]
