Instructions for Win95/98/3.1(w/Trumpet WinSock)/NT and Macintosh.

Due to the change of the area code in our area from 612 to 952 clients with dial up accounts will need to change their dial up setup now or before January 2001.

NOTE: You many have a newer version of Dial-Up Networking (DUN) even if you are using Windows95. If you are not sure which version of DUN you are using, check the following:

When you connect to Infinity with your modem, which icon appears on the Taskbar near the Time Display?

If it is:
-a black box with two red lights on it, use Win95 instructions.
-two computers with green screens, use Win98 instructions.
-yellow phone with two blue square ligths behind it, use NT

Win95 (NOT Win98)
1. Double click on My Computer.
2. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.
3. RIGHT click on your Infinity icon. It maybe be called something else such as Infinity Access, or Infinity Internet. And then select Properties.
4. Make sure use Country and Area code is UNCHECKED.
5. In the Telephone number field, enter 9522535324.
    If you have call waiting and want to disable it, enter *70W9522535324.
    If you are going through a PBX phone system and you dial 9 to get a line, enter 9W9522535324.
    If you have to dial a number other than 9 to get an outside line, replace the starting 9 with the number needed.
6. Click OK

Win98 (NOT Win95)
1. Double click on My Computer.
2. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.
3. RIGHT click on your Infinity icon. It maybe be called something else such as Infinity Access, or Infinity Internet. And then select Properties.
4. Make sure use Country and Area code is CHECKED.
5. In the Area Code field enter 952. In the Telephone number field, enter 2535324.
6. Click OK.
7. Double click on your Infinity icon.
8. Click Dial Properties.
9. In Area Code field, enter your Area Code (952, 612, 651, 763).
10. Click Area Code Rules button.
11. Check the box "Always dial the area code (10-digit dialing)".
12. On the lower half of the next screen, in the "Do not dial 1 for numbers with the following area codes:" section, click New.
13. Enter 952. Then click OK.
-Click New again and enter 612 then OK.
-Click New again and enter 651 then OK.
-Click New again and enter 763 then OK.
14. Click OK to go back to the last screen.
15. If you have call waiting, and wish to disable it, check the box "To disable call waiting, dial:" and in the box following enter *70W.
16. If you are going through a PBX phone system, in the section "To access an outside line: For local calls, dial" enter 9W, or the number you need for an outside line and a W.
17. Click OK, and then Cancel or Connect.

Win 3.1 with Trumpet Winsock
1. Double click Internet group icon.
2. Be ready to hit the ESC key several times after double clicking on Trumpet Winsock icon. This will stop it from dialing. Double click the Trumpet Winsock icon and then hit the ESC key several times.
3. Click Dialler menu.
4. Select setup.cmd.
5. In the "Enter your phone number" field, enter 9522535324.
     If you have call waiting and want to disable it, enter *70W9522535324.
     If you are going through a PBX phone system and you dial 9 to get a line, enter 9W9522535324.
     If you have to dial a number other than 9 to get an outside line, replace the starting 9 with the number needed. Then click OK, and click OK for the "Enter your login username" and the "Enter your login password" fields. Do NOT change these. If you do, you will not be able to log in.
6. Click File, then select Exit.

WinNT
1. Double click on My Computer.
2. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.
3. In the Phone number preview field, enter 9522535324.
     If you have call waiting and want to disable it, enter *70W9522535324.
     If you are going through a PBX phone system and you dial 9 to get a line, enter 9W9522535324.
     If you have to dial a number other than 9 to get an outside line, replace the starting 9 with the number needed.
4. Click Close.

Macintosh
1. Click on Apple icon in upper left hand corner.
2. Select Control Panels.
3. Double click Config PPP.
4. Click Config button.
5. In the Phone num field, enter 9522535324.
    If you have call waiting and want to disable it, enter *70W9522535324.
    If you are going through a PBX phone system and you dial 9 to get a line, enter 9W9522535324.
    If you had to dial a number other than 9 to get an outside line, replace the starting 9 with the number needed.
6. Click Done.
7. Click square in upper left hand corner of Config PPP window to close it.
